Between 11 and 17 June this year the Peoples Heritage Network of Colombia, composed of 10 municipalities in the country, will be part of a tour in 4x4 vehicles, ATVs, motorcycles and jeeps. Pilots Venezuelans, Ecuadorians and Colombians form part of Rally Raid de los Andes 2013, which lists the customs,local cuisine and architectural beauty of this circuit. The network was designed to promote sustainable development of municipalities with major historical and tourist value.
150 vehicles will depart June 11 from the town of Ureña, Venezuela, bound for various locations in Colombia. The adventure ends on June 17 in Ibarra,Ecuador. He will reward each of the 6 stages of the journey.
The routes of the competition are previously established roads, mostly rural, which are usually used by rustic vehicles. Therefore, no green routes will invade.
In total, 200 people from neighboring countries be involved in mobilization, along with 500 Colombians. There will be special guests from Spain, Portugal, Argentina,Mexico and the United States. The hotel industry is prepared to receive them with prices and special rates.
During the tour the members of tourist caravan will have the opportunity to visit places like: The department of Santander, Barichara, Villa de Leyva (Boyacá), The Desert Infiernito, Fossil Museum and Natural Wax Palm Forest.
Other municipalities that make up the network are Honda (Tolima), Lorica (Córdoba), Monguí (Boyacá), Mompox (Bolívar),Playa de Belen (Norte de Santander) and Santa Fe de Antioquia (Antioquia), to complete the course in the Ecuadorian city of Ibarra.
