Arcipielago Los Roques.
A sole 75 miglia dalla costa del Venezuela , si trova Los Roques , un meraviglioso paradiso di acque verdi-azzurre, cristalline e di sabbia bianca, unico al mondo. Un arcipelago di 350 tra isole, isolotti, rocce, atolli e banchi di sabbia che con la bassa marea lasciano allo scoperto le formazioni di coralli, preludio allo scenario di vita sottomarina che contiene.
Quasi del tutto sconosciuto fino ad alcuni anni fa, Los Roques si apre ora al mondo del turismo come una meta più nuova, più interessante e più valida alternativa per chi é sempre alla ricerca delle emozioni più genuine, dei paesaggi naturali.
Per arrivare a Los Roques bisogna volare su Caracas, al Simon Bolivar airport (Maiquetia a nord di Caracas) che dista circa 11-12 ore di volo dai principali aeroporti europei. Da qui ci può spostare al contiguo terminal dei voli domestici e prendere il collegamento per Los Roques che in poco meno di mezz'ora vi conduce nel paradisiaco arcipelago.
Si trovano collegamenti per Los Roques anche da altri aeroporti del venezuela, come ad esempio da Margarita. Una nota del turista. L'aeroporto di Los Roques non è dotato di pista illuminata, ed i voli si possono effettuare solo di giorno.
L'arcipelago di Los Roques, nato da uno sconvolgimento geologico, è uno dei 24 Parchi Naturali del Venezuela, ed é superprotetto dalle autorità venezuelane. Praticamente disabitato, esclusa l'isola di Gran Roque, dove vi si trova una comunità di pescatori di circa 400 anime.
Non vi sono alberghi veri e propri ma piccole strutture (alcune belle, accoglienti e con buon confort) chiamate “Posadas” . Hanno poche camere (le più grandi non superano le 10-12) e sono ricavate da vecchie abitazioni di pescatori ristrutturate e si trovano a Gran Roque.
Per gli amanti della vela il modo più adatto per visitare Los Roques é quello di farlo in barca a vela perché risulta essere il sistema più rapido e più giusto per entrare nello spirito dell'arcipelago.
Dalla barca si può fare tutto quello che é permesso in questo favoloso arcipelago e cioé godersi la natura senza fretta.
Le attività degli sport acquatici richiamano molti turisti, ed alcuni siti di diving sono entrati tra i tour classici degli appassionati di questo sport.
Uno scenario di grandiosa e incomparabile bellezza; spiagge di sabbia finissima avvolte da un luminoso e splendente sole radiante che si specchia con mille riflessi argentei sulle acque, mentre sotto di esso vive il misterioso mondo sub-marino. Già il semplice snorkeling raggiunge qui livelli di incomparabile bellezza, ed è piacere lasciarsi trasposrtare dalle calde acque in una scoperta continua di colori e varipinte fprme di vita.

1° giorno = CARACAS - LOS ROQUES
Dopo la prima colazione,in orario da stabilirsi (normalmente nella presta mattinata),trasferimento con macchina privata,dall’hotel all’aeroporto per imbarcarsi sul volo diretto a LOS ROQUES (Isola di Gran Roque),con arrivo dopo cira 35 minuti di volo.All’arrivo incontro con i nostri assistenti locali e trasferimento a...piedi nella vicina posada prescelta. Tempo libero a disposizione per “saggiare” la bellezza ed il fascino di uno dei parchi marini più belli del mondo. Pranzo,cena e pernottamento.
2°e 3° giorno = LOS ROQUES
Trattamento di pensione completa con bevande nazionali ai pasti e trasferimento giornaliero presso le isole vicine (Krasky e Francisky) Giornate libere dedicate al relax e alla balneazione.
4° giorno = LOS ROQUES - CARACAS....
Prima colazione in posada. Tempo a disposizione eventualmente per un ultimo tuffo in mare e/o un ultimo bagno di sole (tempo permettendo, dipendente dall’ora del volo) e, in orario da concordarsi, trasferimento al piccolo aeroporto per imbarcarsi sul volo diretto a CARACAS. Arrivo a Caracas e partenza per i luoghi di destinazione.
Breve nota descrittiva delle posadas (DA TENERE BENE A MENTE PER QUANTI SI RECANO A LOS ROQUES)
Le Posadas sono situate a Gran Roque, l' isola più grande dell'arcipelago ed anche l'unica abitata da una piccola comunità di pescatori. Sono, nella maggior parte dei casi, vecchie case di pescatori ristrutturate che dispongono di sole 3-4 camere ad eccezione di alcune che ne hanno 6-8, pochissime con capacità Isuperiore alle 14-15 camere. Tutte dispongono di servizi privati e sono arredate in modo molto semplice, specie quelle turistiche e standard. La struttura è solitamente completata da una cucina e da un salone-sala da pranzo. Le Posadas più grandi sono piùconfortevoli, offrono più servizi ed alcune hanno aria condizionata ed
acqua calda. Poichè quasi tutte le posadas serveno pasti a pensione completa, i ristoranti presenti sull’isola sono pochissimi; il cibo è abbstanza costoso e di reperibilità limitata,considerando che arriva tutto,escluso il pesce,dalla terra ferma. In ogni caso è bene sottolineare che i costi sono relativamente alti per effetto degli alti costi di gestione e, che luogo ed alloggi, sono indicati a quanti hanno un grande spirito di adattabilità sia per quanto concerne il vivere in ambienti ristretti e familiari, a stretto contatto con i proprietari e/o gestori e con altri ospiti e sia per la mancanza delle comodità offerte normalmente dagli alberghi,sia per uno standard di iginiene assolutamente non paragonabile a quelli dei grandi alberghi.
E’ molto comune trovare all’interno delle stesse dei “fastidiosi” piccoli insetti, impossibili da eliminare.
Le posadas normalmente non hanno una classificazione ufficiale, ma in base alla qualità della struttura e dei servizi offerti, possiamo classificarle nel modo seguente : Economica / Standard / Superior:
Le Economiche:
Normalmente sono strutture con piccoli ambienti e camere piccole, sono le più economiche e sono indicate ai più giovani o a quanti privilegiano il risparmio alle comodità, e alla qualità dei servizi.
Le Standard:
Sono anch'esse indicate ai più giovani e a quanti hanno una buona capacità di adattamento. Sono normalmente piccole strutture, con capacità limitata e camere piccole. Servizi essenziali.
Le Superior:
Possono classificarsi, a loro volta, in Superior standard e in Superior junior. Le Superior standard normalmente sono composte da piccole o medie strutture con ambienti più spaziosi,discreti servizi,buona accoglienza, pasti buoni. Le Superior junior normalmente sono composte da strutture con ambienti più eleganti e un po più grandi, buoni servizi, condizioni igieniche buone, buona cucina, accoglienza calorosa, buona attenzione al cliente.
